Student Experience Survey 2011

According to the Times Higher Education (THE) Student Experience Survey 2011, Loughborough University is rated top overall and ahead of University of Sheffield (2nd) and University of East Anglia (3rd).

Cambridge's overall ranking in the Times Higher Education (THE) Student Experience Survey 2011 has fallen to fourth position from 2nd last year. Cambridge scored the highest in the academic attributes, with the highest scores nationwide in both "Helpful/interested staff" and "Well-structured courses". It also has the joint-highest score in "High quality staff/lectures".

The University of Dundee is ranked the top Scottish institution and 5th in the UK (from 8th last year). Dundee recorded the best response in the UK to the key statement 'I would recommend my university to a friend' and also scored among the top marks in good social life and extracurricular activities, good student union and library services.

Newcastle University is ranked top in the North East for student experience and thirteenth nationally, moving up seven places from last year. The University was also in the top five nationally in several of the categories, including helpful and interested staff, well-structured courses, good social life and convenient facilities.
