Teaching Quality Ratings
The following universities have achieved excellent performance in Teaching Quality assessment:
University of Sheffield (UK) - In the Teaching Quality Assessments (TQA 1993-2001) Sheffield is ranked 3rd in the UK for the highest number of "Excellent" rated subject areas. Nearly 75% of all teaching subjects achieved a 24/24 (Excellent) score.
The University of Dundee (UK) - The University as a whole was rated 1st in the UK for teaching quality by The Times (2005) and was named Scottish University of the Year by The Sunday Times in the 2004-5 Good University Guide.
Durham University - It is one of the UK's top teaching universities. The teaching quality of its courses has been assessed by the Quality Assurance Agency. Five of the subject areas achieved top marks: Biological Sciences, Business Finance, Economics, Philosophy and Physics.
University of Stirling - The Teaching Quality Assessment rated Stirling in the top 10 in the UK (Times Higher Education Supplement 2005). According to an external review in 2006, the quality of teaching and the academic standards of awards at Stirling are still amongst the best in Scotland.
The University of Queensland (Australia) - It is in the top five Australian universities and the only Queensland university to perform well in a table of teaching quality published in August 2005. UQ was the first university in Australia to introduce a scheme rewarding teaching excellence.
Swinburne University of Technology - According to the 2009 Good Universities Guide, Swinburne is Melbourne's best university for teaching quality. The Postgraduate edition of the Good Universities Guide awarded the University a maximum 5-star rating in teaching quality, generic skills and graduate satisfaction, making it the best university in Melbourne within all three categories.
University of the Sunshine Coast (Australia) - It has again gained recognition for its high teaching quality in the 2011 Good Universities Guide. For the second consecutive year, USC has stood out as the only public university in Queensland to gain five stars for teaching quality.
