Princeton is ranked No. 1 among the best national universities by 2017 U.S. News & World Report survey, followed by Harvard.

Wake Forest University is ranked 27th overall among 310 national universities and 5th for its commitment to undergraduate teaching. Wake Forest has been ranked in the top 30 in the national universities category for 21 consecutive years and was also 27th in last year’s guide.

Boston College is ranked 31st among national universities in the 2017 U.S. News & World Report survey. The University showed improvements in the survey categories related to both faculty and financial resources, reflecting the University’s strategic investments in faculty and instructional support.

The University of Massachusetts Amherst continues its climb among the top ranks of the nation’s best public universities, moving up another two positions to No. 27 in the 2017 Best Colleges guide by U.S. News & World Report. UMass Amherst also advanced one slot to No. 74 in the Best National Universities category, which consists of 310 public, private and for-profit institutions.

Pepperdine University continues to climb the U.S. News 2017 rankings as one of the nation’s “Best National Universities.” It is ranked 50th out of 310 national institutions of higher learning, advancing two spots higher than its 2016 ranking of No. 52.
