Leading universities offering online engineering degree programs:

The University of North Carolina Online
- The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology Degree is offered by The William States Lee College of Engineering and the Department of Engineering Technology.
- All courses, except for the four labs, are delivered 100% online.
- An Associate in Applied Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computers Engineering from a regionally accredited two-year school is required for admission.
- This program is accredited by ABET, Inc. (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology).

DeVry University
- It offers the Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) degree. Students have the option of taking all or some of their EET coursework online.
- According to the American Society for Engineering Education 2007, nearly one-third of all EET students in ASEE-recognized programs in North America are earning their degrees at DeVry University.

Ferris State University
- It offers the Online Bachelor of Science in HVACR Engineering Technology degree. The online program was designed for working adults who have several years of experience in the HVAC industry.
- The online program takes two years and one semester to complete the technical courses.
- Applicants must have already earned an associate degree in HVACR (or its equivalent) with an overall grade point average of 2.5 or above, and must have completed a college level Intermediate Algebra class with a grade of C or better.
