University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff

Founded in 1873, The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is a historically black university located in the northern part of the city of Pine Bluff in South Central Arkansas. It is the oldest HBCU and the second oldest public institution in the state.

UAPB offers a range of academic majors and minors through the following schools: School of Agriculture, Fisheries & Human Science; School of Business & Management; School of Education; School of Arts and Sciences; University College.

The School of Arts and Sciences is an area of excellence, offering majors in art, English, Speech and Drama; gerontology, history, journalism, social science, etc. It offers both the bachelor of arts and the bachelor of science degrees.

The School of Education at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff has been granted continued accreditation by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

The School of Business and Management offers degree programs such as the B.S. in Accounting; B.S. in Business Technology; B.S in Business Administration-with concentrations in: Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing.

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It is a part of the University of Arkansas System.
