College of Saint Mary (CSM) is a leading private women's Catholic university located in Omaha, Nebraska. It was founded in 1923 by the Sisters of Mercy as a Catholic women's college.

The University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It formally adopted continuous quality improvement methodology when it was accepted into the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) in 2004.

The associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s in nursing degree programs are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The occupational therapy program is accredited by The Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA). The business administration, business leadership, and business information systems programs are accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).

CSM holds memberships in the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, National Coalition of Women's Colleges, Mercy Conference of Higher Education, Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, Council for Independent Colleges, Nebraska Council on Teacher Education, Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Nebraska, Nebraska Independent College Foundation, and the National Catholic Education Association.
