Cambridge was ranked 1st in the Complete University Guide for 2018, followed by the University of Oxford in 2nd place.
Lancaster was ranked 9th out of 129 universities in the Complete University Guide 2018, maintaining its position from last year. In separate listings covering 70 subjects in the Complete University Guide 2018, Lancaster makes the Top Ten for 13 of the 34 subjects it offers.
The University of Bristol was ranked 17th in the Complete University Guide 2018, a rise of seven places this year. In a separate listing, 23 out of Bristol’s 39 subjects are ranked in the top 10 for their discipline, up from 19 in last year’s guide.
The University of Leicester was ranked 30th out of 129 institutions. It is one of only three East Midlands universities in the top 30 and ranked in the top 10 for two subject areas: American Studies and History of Art, Architecture and Design.
The University of Liverpool was ranked 41st in the 2018 Complete University Guide. In addition it was ranked 25th for staff/student ratio and has moved up 23 places to 74th for Student Satisfaction (the table uses NSS 2016 from last year).
