Imperial College was ranked 1st in the UK for Civil Engineering, according to the Guardian University league tables 2016. Heriot-Watt University was ranked 1st in Scotland and 2nd nationally for the subject.

The University of Southampton was ranked ranked 4th in the UK for Civil Engineering and for employment in the 2016 Guardian University Guide. It is also one of the UK’s leading civil engineering universities, with a 100% student satisfaction rating (MEng Civil Engineering, NSS 2015).

Coventry University was ranked 10th for Civil Engineering. Overall, the University has broken into the top 15 of UK universities in the Guardian University Guide 2016. The University has secured 15th spot overall (a rise of 12 places from last year), ranking ahead of a number of Russell Group institutions to achieve its highest ever listing and cement its position as the country's leading modern university.

Civil Engineering at Swansea University is well known as one of the most prestigious degrees in the UK. It was ranked 28th nationally for Civil Engineering, and 1st in the UK for its graduate prospects, according to The Guardian University Guide 2016.
