According to the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017, St Andrews is the top ranked university in Scotland (ranked 3rd in the UK), ahead of Dundee (2nd in Scotland and 28th in the UK) and Glasgow (3rd in Scotland and 29th in the UK).
The University of Leicester was ranked 25th out of over 120 universities, a rise of three places from 28th last year. It was also ranked third in the East Midlands and one of only three institutions from the region to appear in the top quartile of the league table.
Dundee University has retained its title as Scottish University of the Year in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide. It was also ranked 28th overall in the UK.
Bournemouth University (BU) has leapt 20 places in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017. It was ranked 62nd in the league table. The result underlines BU’s strong graduate employability – including 2016 Visual Effects Oscar and BAFTA winners - and placement opportunities for all honours degree students.
