National University of Singapore (NUS) was ranked 1st among the top universities in Asia, followed by the University of Hong Kong in 2nd place, according to the 2015 QS University Rankings for Asia.

NUS was also rated 3rd in the number of citations per paper, providing a strong endorsement of the deep impact of NUS’ research. NUS received the maximum score in academic reputation, based on 42,561 responses from academics in the region, and the rest of the world, according to QS.

25 universities in mainland China were placed in the top 100 in QS Asian University rankings 2015 and 110 in the top 300. Peking University ranked top among mainland Chinese universities; and Wuhan University rose from 63rd place in 2014 to the 58th in 2015.

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University has maintained its 27th place in the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) Asia University Rankings. In addition, PolyU has risen six places to the 29th position in the recently released Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2015.

Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) was ranked between 177-180th in Asia. Among Thailand universities, KMUTT moved up from No. 8 last year to No. 6 with a total score of 37.7.
