In the Guardian league table 2015, Heriot-Watt University was ranked 1st in the UK for civil engineering and ahead of Imperial College (2nd).

The University of Surrey stands at fourth out of all UK universities following Heriot-Watt, Imperial College and UCL. In the league table, students rated Surrey’s degree courses in Civil Engineering highly, with a score of 90 per cent for ‘satisfaction with course’ and 92 per cent for ‘satisfaction with teaching’. It also revealed that 9 out of 10 Surrey Civil Engineering graduates are employed within six months of completing their course.

The University of Southampton has once again been recognised in the Guardian University Guide 2015 with for the quality of Engineering and the Environment with Civil Engineering moving up 11 places and ranking 5th in the UK. Its Civil Engineering courses also have the best employment rate 6 months after graduation of all Civil programmes in the country.

The University of Birmingham was ranked No. 10 for civil engineering in the latest Guardian University Guide 2015. It was also ranked 17th out of 116 institutions surveyed.
