The University of St Andrews was ranked 1st in the UK for Mathematics in the 2015 Guardian University Guide, followed by Cambridge in 2nd place and Oxford in 3rd place.

The University of Warwick is consistently ranked us as one of the UK’s top Mathematics departments, including the Guardian University Guide 2015 which places it 4th nationally. It was also rated as one of the best Mathematics departments in the world, ranked 23rd in the QS World University Rankings 2013.

The University of Exeter was ranked 8th for Mathematics in the Guardian University Guide 2015. Moreover, 100% of Exeter's Applied Mathematics research and 95% of its Pure Mathematics research was classified as being of international quality in the latest Research Assessment Exercise 2008.

The University of Surrey has climbed to 15th place (from 31st in 2014) for mathematics in the UK, according to the Guardian league table 2015. In the league table, students rated Surrey’s degree courses in mathematics highly, with a near-perfect score of 97 % for ‘satisfaction with course’ and 88 % for ‘satisfaction with teaching’.
