Imperial College was ranked 1st in the UK for Earth & Marine Sciences according to the Guardian University Guide 2015, followed by the University of St Andrews in 2nd place. The Guardian University Guide 2015 also placed St Andrews 3rd in the UK – equalling the university’s highest ever finish in a national ranking.

The University of Reading was ranked 3rd for Earth and Marine Sciences. Overall Reading has moved up eight places to 30th in the Guardian University Guide 2015. It has been ranked 5th out of 16 institutions in the South East and above seven institutions in the Russell Group.

The University of Southampton has moved up four places to 17th to feature in the top 20 for Earth and Marine Sciences in the UK, in the newly released Guardian University Guide 2015. This is a great achievement and matches a recent rise in the rankings in both the QS World University rankings and The Complete University Guide.
