Following are the top Australian universities for veterinary science degree program:

University of Adelaide - The University introduced a six-year program in Veterinary Science starting in 2008. The program of study consists of a 3-year Bachelor of Science (Pre-Veterinary) program, followed by a 3-year postgraduate Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

The University of Sydney - The Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) is five years' duration and graduates are immediately eligible for registration with Veterinary Surgeons' Boards in each state. The course is also recognised internationally by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (UK) and is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

University of Queensland - UQ offers the Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) degree. Graduates may be eligible for membership with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland.

James Cook University - The School of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences at James Cook University offers a number of degree programs including the Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences, Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science, Bachelor of Veterinary Science, etc.

Charles Sturt University - The Veterinary Science Course commenced in 2005 and was accredited in 2010 for all jurisdictions in Australia and New Zealand as well as the UK.

University of Melbourne - The veterinary program is accredited by the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council Inc., and internationally by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (UK).

Murdoch University - Vet Science course was the first course in Australia to be awarded accreditation from the American Veterinary Medical Association AVMA. This course attracts a mix of students from Australia and other countries.
