Northwestern University (Kellogg) is ranked No. 1 for its part-time MBA programs in the US News Best Business Schools rankings 2013. The ranking of part-time MBA programs is based on five factors: peer assessment score according to business school deans and MBA program directors at each of the nation's part-time programs; average GMAT score of students entering in fall 2011; average undergraduate GPA; work experience; and percentage of fall 2011 enrollment that is part time.

The Wake Forest University Schools of Business part-time MBA program, offered in Charlotte and Winston-Salem and exclusively designed for working professionals, is ranked No. 1 in North Carolina and was the only program of its kind in the state ranked in the Top 50. Overall, the Wake Forest MBA program for working professionals is ranked 32nd, which also puts it in the top 10% nationally.

Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business is ranked 37th among the nation's best part-time MBA schools, according to the 2013 survey, tying it with Case Western Reserve University, DePaul University, and St. Louis University. This represents a major jump from 45th in the 2012 rankings.
