Following are the top ranked dental schools for 2012:

King's College London - It took the top spot in the Complete University Guide 2012 subject league table for dentistry, with an overall score of 100 (up from 11th place in 2011 to 1st in 2012). King's also rated top in the Guardian University Guide 2012 league table for dentistry, ranking all UK universities according to teaching excellence scoring 100/100.

Bristol Dental School - It was ranked 2nd of all UK dental schools in the Complete University Guide for the year 2012. University of Bristol is the UK's largest provider of DCP training and has been training Dental Surgeons since 1906 and Dental Care Professionals (DCPs) since 1949.

The University of Sheffield - It is ranked in the top 5 dental schools in the UK by both the Times and Complete 2012 university guides. The Dental School is divided into the following academic units: Oral Health & Development; Dental Public Health; Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology; Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery & Medicine; Primary Dental Care; Restorative Dentistry; Hygiene & Therapy.

Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry - It is the medical school of Queen Mary, University of London. The School offers a five-year BDS dentistry programme and a wide range of taught medical and dental postgraduate programmes. The dentistry program is ranked 7th nationally in the 2012 Complete University Guide subject rankings.
