Established in 1962, The University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) is one of the nation's top 50 medical schools. The institution's main components are the School of Medicine, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and the Graduate School of Nursing. The School of Medicine is one of 14 centers in the nation to be awarded the prestigious Robert Wood Johnson Generalist Physician Initiative grant.
