Robert Morris University (RMU) is a private not-for-profit educational institution in the U.S. state of Illinois. It was formerly known as Robert Morris College. The University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association.
In addition, the University has received specialized accreditation for its business programs through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), located in Olathe, Kansas. The Medical Assisting Diploma program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), upon recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (AAMAE).
RMU's Chicago Campus Surgical Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Education Programs (CAAHEP), upon recommendation of the Accreditation Review committee on Education in Surgical Technology (ARC-ST). The Chicago Campus Nursing program is accredited by the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
