Top universities offering J.D./M.P.H. dual/joint degree programs:
Harvard University
- The JD/MPH (Juris Doctor/Master of Public Health) joint degree program is offered jointly by the Harvard Law School (HLS) and the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH).
- The program is designed for those with an interest in public health studies in the development of interdisciplinary knowledge and skills in preparation for a career in public health policy or related field.
- HSPH is ranked 2nd along with University of North Carolina School of Public Health in the 2008 U.S. News & World Report.
Emory University
- The JD/MPH Dual Degree Program offers students the opportunity to pursue both degrees simultaneously. Candidates for the program must apply separately to the Rollins School of Public Health and the School of Law. LSAT scores may be substituted for GRE scores as part of the public health application.
- Rollins School of Public Health is ranked 7th nationally (USNWR 2009 edition).
University of Virginia
- Instituted in 2003 by the Law School, the School of Medicine, and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the combined J.D.-M.P.H. program takes four years to complete.
- The J.D. and M.P.H. degrees are awarded at the same time upon the completion of all the requirements for both degrees.
- A survey by the National Law Journal found that Virginia Law was ranked 5th in the number of graduates hired by NLJ's top 250 firms in 2009, with 214 alumni hired.

- The School of Law and School of Public Health have partnered to offer the dual Juris Doctor/Masters of Public Health degrees in either a generalist track or a degree in health policy.
