The College of Technology contains the following academic departments: Aviation Technology; Building and Construction Management; Computer and Information Technology; Computer Graphics Technology; Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology; Industrial Technology; Mechanical Engineering Technology; Manufacturing Engineering Technology; Organizational Leadership and Supervision.
The technology education program is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education and the Indiana Professional Standards Board. The Department of Industrial Technology has received ABET Accreditation (Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology). All of Purdue’s Aviation Technology degree programs have been fully accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI). The Building Construction Management program is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE).

A survey of engineering technology programs conducted by the American Society for Engineering Education indicated that Purdue awarded 60 bachelor's degrees in engineering technology to women during the 2002-03 school year, the highest in the country. Purdue's College of Technology also tied for 1st in the total number of degrees in awarded (364).
