- Purdue University is ranked 56th among all national universities, according to U.S.News & World Report magazine (2011).

- According to the U.S.New rankings of the top graduate schools (2010), Purdue's College of Engineering tied with the University of California, San Diego, for 12th overall in the survey. In engineering specialties, Purdue is placed 1st for Biological/Agricultural (tied with Cornell University).

- 19th in Webometrics' Ranking of World Universities survey (January 2010).

- Ranked 106th among the world's top universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2010-2011.

- Ranked 65th globally in the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2009.

- Purdue's Marriage and Family Therapy program in the College of Consumer and Family Sciences was ranked 1st in scholarship productivity by the Journal of Marital & Family Therapy (2009).

- Krannert School of Management has been ranked in a tie for the 9th spot among U.S. public MBA programs and 54th worldwide, according to rankings released by the Financial Times (2010). - The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences doctoral program was tied for 9th in 2008 (US News).

- In 2007 the School of Veterinary Medicine ranked 14th, Department of Chemistry tied for 22nd, Department of Biological Sciences tied for 42nd (US News).
