Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (RHIT) is highly regarded as one of the nation's top undergraduate engineering, science, and mathematics colleges.

Rose-Hulman is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and by the Department of Public Instruction of the State of Indiana. It is also a member of the Association of Independent Technological Universities.

Degree programs in chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The chemistry curriculum has been approved by the Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical Society.

- According to the U.S. News & World Report 2010 College Guide's ranking, Rose-Hulman is ranked the number one college or university that offers the bachelor's or master's degree as its top degree in engineering. Individual Rose-Hulman engineering departments also received No. 1 rankings as well. Those programs are chemical, civil, computer, electrical and mechanical.

- Listed in the 2010 edition of “The Best 371 Colleges” published by The Princeton Review, and in the “2010 Fiske Guide to Colleges”.

- It is one of America's Best Engineering Colleges, ranked No. 1 in its category (engineering colleges whose highest degree offered is a Bachelors's or Master's) by U.S. News & World Report (2000-2009).

- Listed among the nation’s top 80 colleges and universities in Barron’s 2009 Guide to the Most Competitive Colleges. Rose-Hulman and the University of Notre Dame were the only Indiana institutions on the prestigious list.
