Emporia State University (ESU) is a leading comprehensive university located in the city of Emporia in Lyon County, Kansas, USA. It is the first and only university in the world to offer a four-year degree in Engraving Arts.

Emporia State University is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. In addition, many programs hold accreditation from their respective agencies. The School of Business received accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The ESOL teacher licensure program is accredited by KSDE and the teacher education unit of ESU is accredited by NCATE. The School of Library and Information Management offers an ALA-accredited Master of Library Science degree program.
