Queen Mary is consistently ranked in the top 10 UK Law Schools. It is rated sixth overall in the UK and third in London for law by The Times 2011; and rated 1st in London and 3rd nationwide in The Guardian 2011 university guide.

Durham Law School was ranked 4th in the UK in the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2008. 100% of its staff were entered in the exercise meaning that we achieved research excellence in terms of both quality and depth. The School has achieved the top rating of "Excellent" for its teaching by the Quality Assurance Agency and is consistently rated as one of the top UK law schools by the Times Good University Guide and the Complete University Guide.

The School of Law at Queen's University Belfast (QUB) is ranked as one of the top Schools in the UK and Ireland. It received an impressive top 10 ranking in RAE 2008, finishing 7th in the UK, with a weighted average score of 2.80. It shows that 95% of research in the School is of international quality and above (4*, 3* and 2*).

The School of Law at University of Nottingham is ranked among the top schools in the UK and is one of the leading centres in the world for legal research. It was rated fourth equal (tied with Durham) out of sixty-seven in The Times Higher Education RAE Subject Ratings (based on a Grade Point Average in relation to the School’s Quality Profile) in 2008. In addition the School has a grade of "Excellent" for teaching.

The 2008 RAE puts Birmingham Law School 7th in the country for world-leading and internationally excellent research. It also performed exceptionally well in the National Student Survey (2008). 92 percent of respondents said they were satisfied with the quality of their courses. They also praised the School’s library and IT resources and the way courses are organised and run.
