According to the US News & World Report's National Universities Ranking, three Florida universities placed at Tier 1, with University of Florida ranked first in the state and 49th nationally in 2009. University of Miami is ranked 51st in the nation, followed by Florida State University (102nd nationally).

The University of Florida (Florida or UF) is one of the Top 10 most popular colleges in the United States (US News 2009). UF MBA is placed 50th in the Forbes Ranking 2005.

University of Miami is the second best National University in the state. It is rated as one of the "Best Southeastern Colleges" in The Princeton Review 2008 edition of Best 366 Colleges. It is also placed highly in other categories: 5th for "Diverse Student Population", 16th for "Lots of Race/Class Interaction", 18th for "Best Career/Job Placement Services", 18th for "Best Athletic Facilities" and 18th for "Most Beautiful Campus" category.

Florida Atlantic University has been named one of the 146 "Best Southeastern Colleges" in the US (The Princeton Review).

Florida State University Online MBA program has been ranked as “Best Buy Online MBA” by Get-Education.com.

Everest University is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.

Nova Southeastern University is ranked No. 1 in in first professional degrees awarded to Hispanics (The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education).

Keiser University is placed among the top 12 online colleges and universities in the Online Education Database’s Rankings 2009.

University of Central Florida has been ranked 9th among national universities in the "Great Schools, Great Prices" category for students who graduate with the least amount of debt.

University of West Florida has been named one of the best colleges and universities in the Southeast according to "The Princeton Review".

Jacksonville University has been placed in the top 50 among more than 150 master’s universities in the South.

The College of Business at Florida International University is placed among the top 15% of graduate business schools in the U.S., 1st in South Florida, and in the top 25 among public business schools in the U.S. by BusinessWeek (2006).

Barry University is included in Hispanic Outlook’s “Top 100 List of U.S. Colleges and Universities Graduating Hispanics”. The Barry University chapter of the Financial Management Association has earned the Silver NHS Membership Development Award for the 2007 – 2008 academic year.

Bethune-Cookman University is ranked by US News & World Report’s 2009 America’s Best Colleges as one of the top baccalaureate colleges in the south and one of the top historically black colleges and universities in the country.

St. Thomas University School of Law was fully accredited by the American Bar Association, and offers the Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) as well as the Masters of Law (LL.M).

Northwood University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It has been selected as a finalist for the Women's Business Council – Southwest's Corporation of the Year.
