Financial Times has published the raking of top Online MBA Schools based on the number of students enrolled for MBA Programs. According to the league table, UK has the most number of online MBA programs listed in the top 10 globally. University of Phoenix (USA) has the largest enrollments (67,700 students) for its online MBA program.

In the annual review of 42 top distance learning and online MBAs, Edinburgh Business School MBA is listed as the largest programme outside the USA (behind the for-profit University of Phoenix).

Top 10 Online MBA Schools:

1 University of Phoenix
Students pursuing the MBA via online learning format will receive their lecture materials, readings, discussion topics and assignments electronically. They also offer a Spanish MBA program for Spanish-language students.

2 Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University
EBS offers the world's most flexible business programmes which can be studied on campus in Edinburgh, online through distance learning or at one of its partner centres across the globe. The degree certificate will not mention the mode of study. Over 40% of Fortune 500 companies have students on its MBA programme.

3 Open University Business School
OU Business School is the world's largest triple accredited MBA provider. Its MBA programmes are accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA). The Open University is placed among the world's top 500 universities in the Times Higher Education - QS World University Rankings 2008 and 2009.

4 Henley Business School
Henley's Distance Learning MBA programme is ranked No. 2 in the UK and No. 6 globally according to the Economist's Distance Learning MBA Rankings 2008. The Distance Learning MBA can be completed in 3 years of part time study.

5 U21Global
It was named "The Best Online Executive Education provider" by Edupoll (Singapore) in 2005. The members participating in U21Global are some of the premier universities in the world such as the Korea University, Lund University, National University of Singapore, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University College Dublin, University of Birmingham, etc. Its MBA program is registered by the Singapore Ministry of Education under the Distance Learning Programme. 

6 Tec de Monterrey - Egade (Mexico)
It is one of the leading graduate business schools of Latin America. EGADE is placed 16th in the world according to The Wall Street Journal, 2003.

7 University of Maryland University College
Maryland Distance Learning Association (MDLA) "Distance Program of the Year" was awarded to UMUC's online MBA program. UMUC Master of Business Administration (MBA) has been named the “2005 Most Outstanding Online Teaching and Learning Program” by the Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C).

8 University of Liverpool
Liverpool is placed 137th in the world according to THE-QS World University Rankings 2009. The online MBA programme, with specialisations in Finance & Accounting and Marketing, is delivered fully online. EFMD awarded accreditation for teChnology-Enhanced Learning (CEL Accreditation) to the University of Liverpool’s Online MBA programme delivered in partnership with Laureate Online Education.

9 Manchester Business School
The School is ranked 7th in the world and 2nd in the UK by the FT Global MBA Rankings 2009 for career progression. The MBA programme has been ranked 5th in the world based on return on investment by Forbes. It is one of the few schools worldwide to gain the approval of all three MBA accrediting bodies: AACSB International, AMBA and EQUIS.

10 Kaplan University
It is placed as one of the top 20 online universities in the Online Education Database Rankings of Top online undergraduate institutions 2008.
