Oxford is ranked top for Psychology. The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for Higher Education awarded a maximum score of 24 for teaching and learning quality in their review of Psychology at Oxford University. It also achieved outstanding results in the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2008, 35% of the Department's work was rated in the highest category 4* ('world-leading in terms of originality, significance and rigour'), with a further 45% rated as 3* ('internationally excellent in terms of originality, significance and rigour').
