Cornell University has retained its leading positions in the annual survey ranking of top architecture programs, “America’s Best Architecture and Design Schools 2017.” It was ranked No. 1 among undergraduate programs and No. 2 in graduate programs (tied with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in the survey, conducted by DesignIntelligence and published in Architectural Record.

The Rice University School of Architecture (RSA) program for undergraduate students moved up one place to No. 4 in the 2017 ranking of the best architecture schools in America, as reported by Architectural Record magazine. The undergraduate program has been among the top 5 since 2011. In addition, the RSA graduate student program remains in the top 10 nationally at No. 9.

Syracuse University's B.Arch program has been in the top 10 every year since 2004. According to the DesignIntelligence 2017 rankings for America’s Best Architecture Schools, the B.Arch program at Syracuse rose from 4th to 3rd; the M.Arch program has reached the top 10 list at 8th. The program was 11th in 2016 and 16th in 2015.
