Imperial College was ranked 1st in the UK for Mathematics, followed by Warwick, according to the Guardian University Guide 2016. Moreover, the Warwick Mathematics Institute is one of the best Mathematics departments in the world, ranked 25th in the QS World University Rankings 2014/2015.

The University of Exeter was ranked 10th for Mathematics in the Guardian University Guide 2016. The University offers a unique 4-year MSci Mathematics programmes include named specialisms in Ecology and Evolution, Environmental Science, Energy Systems and Control, Climate Science, Mathematical Biology, Geophysical and Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics, or Business and Finance.

Lancaster University was ranked 12th in the UK for mathematics in the Guardian University League Tables 2016. It was also ranked 9th in the UK for mathematics in the Times Higher Education Listing 2016.

Mathematics at the University of Leicester was ranked 14th in the UK by the 2016 Guardian University Guide. Leicester is one of the most active mathematics research departments in the UK and offers a number of undergraduate three and four year programmes in Mathematics, Actuarial Science and Financial Mathematics.
