Cambridge was ranked No. 1 in the UK according to the all new combined Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide ranking for 2014, ahead of Oxford (2nd) and LSE (3rd).

The University of Bath was ranked 7th nationally and was awarded the title of "University of the Year for Student Experience" by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2014. It was also awarded the title of "Best Campus University" in this year's guide.

The University of Leicester was selected as one of the foremost universities in Britain in the first ever joint Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide 2014, securing the accolade of University of the Year runner-up. It also climbed to 14th place out of over 120 institutions in the league table – up from 17th last year in The Times.

The University of Birmingham was ranked 16th out of 121 universities surveyed and was also awarded University of the Year 2013-2014.

The University of Sheffield climbed three places from 21st to 18th overall. It was also ranked top in the region for student satisfaction in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2014.
