The Times Good University Guide for 2013 has ranked Oxford No. 1 in the UK and ahead of Cambridge (2nd). The league table is based on the following criteria: student satisfaction, entry standards, research quality, student-staff ratio, services and facilities spend, completion rates, good honours, graduate prospects.

Bath was ranked 9th in the UK and featured in the top 10 for 20 subjects including being ranked 1st in no less than three subjects: Architecture, Accounting & Finance, and Social Work.

The University of Sussex has retained its top 20 position in The Times Good University Guide for 2013, rated joint 18th. A total of 10 Sussex subjects listed in the UK top ten: American Studies (8th); Anatomy & Physiology (Neuroscience) (6th); Anthropology (9th); Communication & Media Studies (10th); History of Art (4th); Philosophy (10th); Physics (5th); Psychology (6th); Social Work (4th); and Sociology (8th).

The University of Reading was placed among the top 25 universities in the UK in The Times Good University Guide 2013, moved up nine places to 24th nationally this year. The University has risen in all the league tables published in 2012: ranked 25th in The Guardian, 32nd in the Complete University Guide and 12th in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey.
