The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and a member of the North Central Association. UMD Fine Arts Academy is a certified member of the National Guild of the Community Schools of the Arts. Fine Arts Academy music programs are fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. The Health Services Counseling Department has been accredited through the International Association of Counseling Services since 1994.
