Spring Arbor University (SAU) is a top-tier, liberal arts, Christian university located in Michigan, United States. The University is affiliated with the Free Methodist Church of North America.

All degrees offered by Spring Arbor University are accredited by The Higher Learning Commission. The social work program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The elementary, secondary, early childhood and graduate education programs offered by the University's School of Education are approved by the Michigan Department of Education and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

According to the Associated Press article, students who elect to attend large public universities such as University of Michigan, Michigan State University and Central Michigan University, leave such schools with larger debt-loads than Spring Arbor University graduates.
