There are also opportunities for qualified veterinary nurses to top up their existing qualification to a single honours degree. This is the highest academic standard available to veterinary nurses.
Edinburgh Napier University - The BSc/BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing (Top Up) degree is delivered in collaboration with the College of Animal Welfare. Students will gain graduate skills that can improve your veterinary nursing practice as well as your career prospects. Harper Adams University College - The BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing (top-up) degree will be delivered on a part time basis mostly by distance delivery meaning that students can continue to work in practice and study. The top-up degree builds on candidates' nursing skills whilst also providing them with the academic skills gained from studying a science-based degree. It is possible that qualified nurses with further academic training can use these credits to complete the degree in a shorter time by 'advanced standing'.
