Clarkson University Top Rankings

Clarkson University is a nationally ranked university with a strong reputation for developing innovative leaders in engineering, business, the sciences, health sciences and the humanities.

Clarkson is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The undergraduate programs in aeronautical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, mechanical, and software engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET).

The School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The graduate physical therapy professional curriculum is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Rankings:

- Clarkson University is featured in the 2012 edition of Best Graduate Schools by U.S. News Media Group. The graduate programs in environmental engineering were ranked 38th in the nation. Of the 437 master's programs in business accredited by the AACSB and included in the magazine's annual survey, Clarkson’s School of Business came in at 101st. The Coulter School of Engineering received a ranking of 112th overall. Other rankings included civil engineering at 58th, chemical engineering at 58th, electrical engineering at 120th, and mechanical engineering at 84th. The Doctor of Physical Therapy program was ranked at 115th.

- Ranked 124th among the best national universities by US News 2011.

- 26th overall in Environmental Engineering and 62nd in Civil Engineering (USNWR Best Graduate Schools 2009).

- Washington Monthly magazine has ranked Clarkson University 54th in its national university college rankings, up 16 places from the last time the rankings were published in 2007. The magazine also ranks Clarkson 3rd in the nation for Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) service and #39 in faculty receiving significant awards.

- Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine ranked Clarkson University's undergraduate business program in innovation and entrepreneurship 22nd among 700 U.S. higher educational institutions (2007).
