The following UK universities are offering top up degree programs in nursing:
University of Sheffield
- The top up programmes are designed specifically for nurses/midwives who have undertaken the Pre Registration Advanced Diploma in Nursing/Midwifery Studies at the University of Sheffield and want to convert their Advanced Diploma to a full honours, or a non honours degree.
- Students can only access the Top Up programme during the two years following their successful achievement of the Advanced Diploma in Nursing/Midwifery Studies.
City University London
- The BSc Nursing Studies is a flexible top-up degree programme that enables qualified nurses and midwives to develop specialist knowledge and skills.
- Students can study for their top-up degree on a part time or full time basis up to five years to suit their own personal needs.
The University of Northampton
- The BSc (Hons) International Healthcare and Nursing degree is a two year top up programme which offers students the opportunity to gain a UK Honours degree in Healthcare and Nursing within an international learning environment.
- The minimum entry requirement for the programme: Diploma in Nursing or equivalent.
Middlesex University in London
- The BSc Nursing Degree Top Up programme is designed for registered nurses who wish to top-up their diploma-level qualification to degree level. It is for registered nurses on parts RN1, RN3 and RN8 (formerly parts 12, 13 and 15) of the NMC Professional Register, who wish to gain an academic degree qualification.
University of Salford
- The University offers "BSc (Hons) Child and Family Nursing" which is a part-time Level 3 course allowing health professionals working with children to top up from Diploma to Degree level.
- Students can choose to top up their existing qualification to a degree or take a single module for continuing professional development purposes.
