The University of West Florida (UWF) is a public university located in Pensacola, Florida, US. It is a member of the State University System of Florida. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching changed UWF's classification from Master's University to Doctoral/Research University in 2006.
The University has the following Colleges: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and College of Professional Studies.
UWF is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The College of Business is accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Degree programs covered by the AACSB accreditation include: Master of Accountancy (MAcc), MBA, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with majors in Accounting, Economics, Finance, General Business, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing.
