Best Value Law Schools

Following are some of the leading law schools which have been named a "Best Value":

The University of Kansas School of Law
- It has been named a Best Value Law School by National Jurist magazine. The magazine derived data for the rankings from the Law School Admissions Council's “Official Guide to ABA-approved Law Schools” 2009 edition. KU School of Law is ranked 21st out of 65 schools that the magazine says “carry a low price tag and are able to prepare their students incredibly well for today's competitive job market”.

The University of Oregon School of Law
- The "Back to School 2007" issue of Prelaw Magazine has recognized the University of Oregon School of Law as one of the "best value" law schools in the country. The magazine touted the schools on the "best-value" list as those that deliver "results at an affordable price", using the criteria of tuition prices, high bar passage rates, and high post-graduation employment rates.

Washburn University School of Law
- It is ranked 31st of all 200 law schools in the United States in "The National Jurist's Best Value Law Schools" (September 2009).

The William S. Richardson School of Law (University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa)
- It is ranked in the top 25 Best Value Law Schools in a survey compiled by the National PreLaw Magazine.The National PreLaw Magazine compiled its 2009 guide to Best Value Law Schools by surveying all 202 ABA-accredited law schools. “Best Value” included tuition under $25,000 per year for public and under $30,000 for private schools; an employment rate of at least 85 percent within six months of graduation; and a first-time bar passage rate higher than the respective state average.

The University of Akron
- In 2002, National Jurist magazine ranked Akron the No. 1 Best Value for legal education in the nation. And then, in 2004, the same publication named Akron Law an "excellent value".
- The University of Akron School of Law has been ABA accredited since 1961.

University of Louisville
- The University of Louisville's Louis D. Brandeis School of Law is ranked 18th in The National Jurist's "Best Value Law Schools" in its September 2009 issue. The magazine identified 65 law schools that are both affordable and prepare students well to compete in today's job market.
