Dublin Business School

Founded in 1975, Dublin Business School (DBS) is the largest independent third level college in Ireland, offering a range of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, Professional Accountancy and Executive Education programmes. It was recognised as a Designated Institution under the NCEA Act in 1992.

Dublin Business School offers a broad range programmes in the areas of Arts, Media, Journalism, Business, Management, Marketing Event Management, Law, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Psychology and Social Science.

The Professional School at DBS has been awarded ACCA Platinum Approved Learning Partner and CIMA Quality Partner status. The School offers a list of accountancy programmes including the ACCA, CIMA, CAT, Accounting Technicians Ireland, Diploma in Financial Management, Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards.

All of the degree programs are recognised for exemption purposes by leading professional bodies such as the Institute of Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA),  and the Certified Public Accountants (CPA). The BA (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy degree is recognised by the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). The LL.B (Hons) in Irish Law is fully recognised by all of the Professional Legal bodies in Ireland.

DBS has formed partnerships with a number of leading institutions in Europe, e.g., the Liverpool Business School (part of Liverpool John Moores University, "LJMU"). LJMU is one of the leading modern universities in the UK, ranked as the Number One University in the northwest in terms of the impact of its research (TQA 2007). DBS was approved as an Accredited Institution of LJMU in 1995.
