- The Faculty of Medicine was established by a royal decree on the 16th of September 1983.

University of Jordan, Faculty of Medicine
- The Faculty of Medicine is the first medical faculty in Jordan, established in 1971. It is one of the leading medical faculties in the region, and had accomplished an excellent reputation worldwide.
- The faculty offers the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) after the student passes successfully the six years of study. It also offers programs for Master degree and medical specialty programs leading to the Certificate of Higher Specialization in Medicine.
Mutah University Faculty of Medicine
- The Faculty of Medicine was founded in 2001.
- The University has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Health for the purpose of organizing contacts between the University and the Ministry, and to make Karak government hospital as the main training site for the students of the College of Medicine.
Hashemite University Faculty of Medicine
- The Faculty of Medicine at the Hashemite University was established in 2006.
- Clinical teaching will take advantage of the various community medical facilities, which include those of the Ministry of Health of Jordan and the Royal medical Services in both hospitals and health centers.
