Established in 1878, Southwest Baptist University (SBU) is a four-year evangelical Christian university located in Bolivar, Missouri, USA. The University is a member of the Coalition for Christian Colleges and Universities.

The University includes the following academic divisions: College of Business and Computer Science; The Courts Redford College of Theology and Ministry; College of Education and Social Sciences; Geneva Casebolt College of Music, Arts and Letters; College of Sciences and Mathematics; St. John's College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Southwest Baptist University is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The College of Business and Computer Science is nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The SBU department of music is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. Programs in Education are approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
