Best Law Schools 2013

The 2013 edition of the U.S. News Best Graduate Schools report ranked Yale University No. 1 among the best law schools in the country, followed by Stanford University in 2nd place and Harvard University in 3rd place.

The University of Washington (UW) School of Law moved up ten places from 30th to 20th in the rankings. Two years ago it was 34th. It is now rated 7th among the best public law schools.

The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University has moved upward among the ranks of the nation's best law schools. It is ranked 26th nationwide among public and private law schools, up from 40th in 2012 and is the 8th highest-ranked public law school. In addition, the College of Law's legal method and writing program is ranked 8th best.

U.S. News ranked Fordham University No. 29 among 195 U.S. law schools included in the rankings. In the 2013 edition, Fordham Law remained among the country's most diverse law schools, and several specialty programs were nationally ranked: Dispute Resolution (No. 11), Intellectual Property Law (No. 12), Clinical Training (No. 15).

The University of Tulsa College of Law has been placed among the best 100 law schools in the nation by U.S. News 2013 Best Graduate Schools rankings. Of the 195 accredited law schools assessed, TU Law was named 99th on the list. As one of the smallest law schools in the nation, TU Law has advanced 48 places in the last three years in the rankings.
