The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is part of the statewide university system of the University of Massachusetts.

UMass Dartmouth has full accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The engineering and computer science undergraduate programs at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth are accredited by ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
