Princeton Review Best Colleges 2012

Portland State University (PSU) was named by The Princeton Review as one of the best institutions in the country for undergraduate education. The education services company has chosen PSU in its popular guidebook "The Best 376 Colleges: 2012 Edition". Only about 15 percent of the colleges in the nation are listed in this book.

In the 2012 edition, PSU was the fifth Oregon institution or university to make the "Best 376" list. The others include University of Oregon, Reed College, Lewis & Clark College and Willamette University.

Some other top schools listed in the "Best 376" include:
- Christopher Newport University: A four-year public university in Newport News, Virginia.
- Champlain College: A private college located in Burlington, Vermont.
- University of Houston: A leading public research university located in the vibrant international city of Houston.
- Roanoke College: A Phi Beta Kappa institution. Only about ten percent of colleges and universities in the U.S. have the academic credentials to host a Phi Beta Kappa chapter.
