University College London (UCL) Medical School has a strong reputation for teaching informed by cutting-edge research and a distinguished cadre of academic staff. It is one of the top ranking universities in the UK for research in basic medical sciences and clinical medicine. UCL is rated 10th globally in 'Clinical Medicine & Pharmacy' in the analysis of subject areas by Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Academic Ranking of World Universities 2009.
