The following institutions provides high-quality food service and earns a place in the national top 10 ranking for Best Campus Food:
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech)
- Virginia Tech serves the best food in the nation, according to The Princeton Review’s "Best 371 Colleges: 2010 Edition".
- The university’s Dining Services also received a No. 1 ranking for “Best Campus Food” in 2008 from the Princeton Review. Virginia Tech’s Dining Services is a department within the Division of Student Affairs.
Gustavus Adolphus College
- Named a best college by The Princeton Review’s college ranking guidebook, The Best 371 Colleges, for 2010. It is ranked 8th in the Best Campus Food list which includes 20 colleges and universities. This is the second consecutive year Gustavus has been a top 10 on this list.
Bowdoin College
- Regularly acknowledged nationally for boasting some of the nation's premier college food, Bowdoin claimed the No. 1 spot on the Princeton Review's list of "Best Campus Food" (2006 & 2007 edition). In 2009 it held the No. 2 spot in the rankings. Other schools that have earned a spot in the top 10 ranking for best campus food include Wheaton College, Virginia Tech, St. Olaf College, Colby College, JMU, Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Notre Dame, and Gustavus.
James Madison University
- Rated 4th in the nation in the Best Campus Food List, based on student surveys, in The Princeton Review's annual college guide for 2010, up one spot from the 2009 edition. In addition it is placed 18th in the Happiest Students category.
