- UAB Hospital is placed among “America’s Best” by U.S.News & World Report in its 19th annual "America's Best Hospitals" issue.

- It is one of the 96 public and private universities (and the only Alabama university) classified as an institution of “very high research activity” by the Carnegie Foundation.
