Münster School of Business and Economics

The Münster School of Business and Economics is the business school at the University of Münster (WWU). It is one of the largest and most prestigious Business Administration and Economic schools in Germany, consistently placed among the very best in all well-known university rankings.

It was one of the first schools in Germany to offer internationally recognized Undergraduate and Graduate Programs in accordance with the European Bologna Process. Undergraduate Programs offered include the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Economics, Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. Graduate Programs offered include Master of Science in Business Administration, Master of Science in Economics, Master of Science in Information Systems.

Rankings:

- Tied for 2nd place among the most highly ranked schools for studying business administration, according to the university rankings in the magazine Wirtschaftswoche and in Junge Karriere, a publication of the newspaper Handelsblatt.

- Münster is ranked in the top 5 German research schools for Business Administration, according to the research rankings published by the CHE. Information Systems is ranked No. 1 in Germany.

- University of Münster received five stars, the highest possible rating for Information Systems, in the "Bachelor Rating" established by the CHE and the German Interest Group for HR Marketing (DAPM).

- The School came out on top when compared to other top German universities in the ranking from the May 2007 issue of the magazine Focus. The department of Business Administration was rated third place. Business Administration at Münster earned the best possible score in main categories such as teaching (ranked in 2nd place after Mannheim).

- The department of Business Administration at Münster was placed 4th according to a survey of more than 1,000 human resource managers from the biggest German corporations (Wirtschaftswoche).

- The Department of Business Administration was ranked 2nd after the University of Mannheim (March 2006 ranking by Wirtschaftswoche).

- In the field of Business Administration, the school ranked in the top group for Student Opinion, Reputation of the Professors, and Library Facilities (2005 university ranking by the CHE).

- In the March 2005 edition of Capital, human resource managers from Germany's top employers endorsed Münster, naming it as one of the ten best Schools of Business and Economics in Germany.
