Berlin School of Economics and Law

The Berlin School of Economics and Law (BSEL) was founded on 1 April 2009 through the merger of the Berlin School of Economics (BSE) and the University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Law (FHVR).

It is one of the largest Universities of Applied Sciences in the city, offering courses in private and public sector business administration, economics and administration, law and security management.

BSEL has the following Faculties and Central Institutes:

- Faculty of Law
- Faculty of Police Training and Management – Advanced Level
- IMB Institute of Management Berlin
- Institute for Distance Learning (FSI)

Programmes offered in German and English include: B.A. Business Administration (German-British or German-Dutch); B.A. Economics; B.A. International Business (German/British); B.A. International Business Administration (company-linked programme); B.A. Security Management; MBA Entrepreneurship; etc.

Programmes offered in German and French are the B.A./ M.A. in International Management / Management International.

Rankings:

- 19 programmes offered by the Berlin School of Economics achieved four out of five stars in the Bachelor Rating 2008.

- 86% of students are satisfied with the studies at the BSE according to the "Studiengangsqualiätsmonitor 2007" (Study Quality Monitor 2007) published by Hochschul-Informations-System GmbH (HIS).

- According to the DAPM / CHE Rating April 2007, Berlin School of Economics took the top spot in the survey and achieved the top Five-Star-Status for two of its programmes.

- BSE is ranked 6th among some 150 German Universities of Applied Sciences and the No. 1 position in Berlin (University Ranking of "Wirtschaftswoche" 2005).
