Top Universities for Graduate Employment

Following are some of the top UK universities for graduate employment:

University of Bradford - Rated No. 1 for Graduate Employment in Yorkshire and joint No. 1 in the North of England (Time Good University Guide 2008).

University of Surrey - It has been ranked top of the league for graduate employment for the third year running according to official statistics (First destinations of Students leaving Higher Education Institutions 1996/97; HESA).

Queen Mary, University of London - Ranked 6th best for student employment performance for non-specialist higher education institutions in England. Almost 95% of its students are in employment or further study six months after graduation, according to the Employment Performance Indicators in Higher Education 2002/3 published by Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).

Robert Gordon University - Its law courses has the highest ranking in the UK for graduate employment (100%) in The Times Good University Guide. The Department of Law also ranks top for graduate employment in the Guardian Good University Guide 2010 and is the overall top ranked post 92 University Law Department.

Aston University - For over 20 years Aston has featured in the top ten UK universities for graduate employment. It is placed 8th in the UK for graduate employment (2008 Sunday Times, DLHE survey) out of all 120 Universities and is the highest outside of London and the South of England.

Newman University College - It has one of the best graduate employment rates of UK colleges and universities, ranked in the top 20 of The Sunday Times University Guide 2010. It was ranked 7th in the UK for low levels of unemployment post graduation (3.4%) and 17th for the proportion gaining graduate-level jobs (80%).

King's College, London - It was ranked fourth for the highest average graduate starting salaries in the Sunday Times University Guide, 2008. Its graduates enjoy one of the best graduate employment rates in the UK. According to the Graduate employment rankings from the Times Good University Guide 2006 league tables, KCL was placed third nationally, after Cambridge University (1st) and Bradford (2nd).

City University London - 10th for graduate prospects six months after graduation amongst the UK’s top universities in The Times Good University Guide 2010. It is ranked 11th in The Sunday Times University Guide 2010 employability rating, for students in graduate level jobs six months after graduation.
